Matthew H. S. Kuofie Prof Kuofie is a renowned international business management consultant. He holds a Ph D in Systems Engineering from Oakland University, Michigan; an MBA in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, Illinois; and an MS in Computer Science from Old Dominion Uinvrsity, Virgina, all from the USA. He also holds a BS in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Ghana. He teaches university graduate level business management and information technology courses. Prof Kuofie has taught, given seminars, and/or organized conferences at various universities, including the University of Michigan, USA; Chou University, Japan; Fudan University, China; Management Development Institute, India; Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany; University of Technology in Sydney, Australia; University of Ghana, Ghana; Bangkok University, Thailand; and Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Professor Kuofie is a founding member of Garden City University College, Kumasi, Ghana. His research interests include business strategies and information technology. Prof. Kuofie has published numerous journal and conference papers. He has served as chairperson at a number of conferences. He serves as editor-in-chief of some journals. He has served on a number of PhD (Doctoral) Disssertation Committees at various universities in different countries including Australia, Thailand, UK, and USA. Prof Kuofie worked for companies, including Systems Solutions International, USA and Electronics Data Systems/General Motors, USA. He held various positions, including project manager, president and chief executive officer. Prof. Kuofie serves on a number of executive advisory boards. Countries Prof. Kuofie has traveled to include Australia, Britain, Canada, China, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Singapore and Thailand. Due to Professor Kuofie’s outstanding international accomplishments, he was installed as His Royal Highness Chief Enyi Oma I (Good Friend) of Abia State on October 2006. His Royal Highness Eze (King) J. Nzenwata Mbakwe of Egwu Uga I of Umuosu Okaiuga Nkwoegwu, Abia State, performed the installation. Chief professor Kuofie serves as ambassador to the world for economic development. Christian C. Wagner Dr. Christian C. Wagner is the current chair of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, USA; he has been with the University as a professor for over 20 years. Dr. Wagner has a BS and MS in Computer Science, and a PhD in Educational Psychology. Dr. Wagner has consulted for a large set of industrial customers including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Eaton Automotive, GM/EDS, Pulte Homes, UTA Automotive among many others. He has published many papers in conference proceedings and journals. He has written three books. Dr. Wagner has graduated about 12 PhDs at Oakland University and has strong permanent working relationships with them all. Dr. Wagner was Dr. Matthew Kuofie’s doctoral committee chair. Samuel Andoh Dr. Samuel Andoh is a professor and Chairperson of the Economics and Finance Department at Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He graduated with second class upper from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He earned MA and PhD degrees in economics from Virginia State and New York University, USA, respectively. Dr. Andoh and his colleague were awarded a three year grant of US$292K to help Khazar University restructure its School of Economics and Management. Dr. Andoh’s experiences as a Fulbright scholar in Azerbaijan are described in “Teaching Economics in a Transition Economy: A Fulbright’s Experience in Azerbaijan” Study Abroad: A Path to Lifetime Learning, Xiaohong He et.al. al. Val Samonis Val Samonis, PhD, CPC, has worked with top business, technology, and policy leaders in many countries, e.g. Nobel Laureates in Economics and Finance (Tobin, Arrow, Solow, Leontieff, Klein) as part of The Stanford Economic Transition Group; Polish Deputy Prime Minister L. Balcerowicz, Czech DeputyPrime Minister P. Mertlik; other top experts globally; lectured internationally on trade, investment, corporate governance and enterprise restructuring, competitiveness, and ICT issues in the global economy; and has been extensively published. Warren H. Groff Prof. Dr. Warren Groff he is the Director of Knowledge Management at Global Strategic Management Inc. Prof Groff has 20 years of administrative experience in five quite different higher education contexts including assistant dean in the College of Education at Temple University, USA and chief academic officer in a private USA college. Warren helped create an International Business Program and chaired a High Tech Task Force for the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents. He and helped create an Entrepreneurial Development Institute. He has been a consultant for diverse organizations for 20 years. He conducted strategic planning workshops for statewide systems and for many institutions including the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, USA. Prof Groff became an adjunct for a few doctoral programs at Nova Southeastern University, USA. He evaluated 1,000+ practicums in Computing & Information Technology and Human Resources Development. Prof Groff chaired 88 completed dissertations, 32 of which were evaluated as Outstanding. He keynoted in Taiwan in 1991 and 1993, on computer based distance education in 1994, and on strategic planning for Electronic Commerce in 1999. He keynoted a Korean Association for Information Education conference in South Korea and then spoke at Inchon National University of Education (INUE) in 1997. I spoke again at INUE in 1999. I spoke in Jamaica in 1997. Prof Groff is Knowledge Management expert. Melissa M. Saadoun Dr. Melissa M. Saadoun has been the president of INEDIT (institute of education and the Impact of ICTs) a Paris, France, based organization since November 1998. Dr. Saadoum formed in Geneva the “World Organisation for Digital Equality” an NGO with members from 34 countries such as Algeria, Angola, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Benin, Cameroun, Canada, Chile, China, Congo, Egypt, France, Ghana, Haïti, India, Japan, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Martinique, Morocco, Mauritania, Pakistan, Russia, Senegal, Spain, South Africa, Switzerland, Togo, Tunisia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirats, USA, Vietnam. She is also an adjunct professor at some universities. She has published many journal and conference papers; she is also the author/co-author of eight (8) books. Dr. Saadoum is an expert in knowledge management, project management, business management, and information technology. Eric Grant Dr. Eric Grant was born in Kumasi, Ghana. He received his BS in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, USA, and another BS in Computer Science from the University College, Mannheim, Germany. He also received his Master degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Maryland, USA and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the George Washington University. Dr. Eric Grant is a senior risk analyst and international capacity building coordinator for USDA- Animals and Plants Health Inspection Services (APHIS) - Policy and Program Development. Prior to APHIS, he worked for the Department of Defense, Health Affairs, and Office of the Surgeon General. Dr. Grant is a retired Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. Army. During his military career he toured numerous countries including Germany, France, Belgium, England, Austria, Korea, and Japan as well as Central America and the Caribbean. Dr. Grant has over a dozen publications. He served as a member of Society for Risk Analysis. He has participated in numerous short-term technical assistance projects in many developing countries. He served as a consultant for several National and International conference Sanitary and Phytosanitary workshops. He served as a consultant for International organizations: PAHO, FAO, and NATO. Dr. Grant has organized more than 10 international workshops in African countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, Cote D’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda), the Caribbean (Antigua, Lucia, Trinidad, Barbados) Europe and USA to train scientists in science –based risk analysis (both quantitative and qualitative risk assessments). Abel Usoro Dr Abel Usoro obtained his PhD in Information Technology from South Bank University, London, and an MSc in Systems Analysis and Design from UK,City University, London, UK. He earned MBA Strategic Management from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He also earned his BSc (Hons) in Management Studies (Banking and Finance) from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He currently lectures in the School of Computing, University of Paisley in Scotland, UK. His current research interests are information systems, knowledge management and e-learning. Dr. Usoro has numerous publications:in books, international conferences and refereed. Dr Usoro is an international chair of a number of conferences, a full member of the prestigious Information Institute and British Computing Society. He is also a member of the Academic Working Group for Manufacturing Performance in Scotland. His conference presentations have taken him across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. For research and lecturing, he visits Laurea University in Finland and Anshan Normal University in China.
Michel Plaisent Dr. Michel Plaisent is a full professor in the Business School of University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, and former director of the MIS program. He has held positions with governments and enterprises as system programmer, analyst and CIO from 1971 to 1987, before he joined the faculty of University of Quebec in Montreal. He still works as consultant for many small business and non-profit organizations. His doctorial thesis (1987) was on the impact use of e-mail as a management tool. Dr. Plaisent's research focus is on the concept of cognitive ergonomics, learning problems and personal productivity tools for managers. He has published several books and articles.
Anesh Maniraj Singh Prof Anesh Maniraj Singh is the Head of the Graduate School of Business, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, since April 2006. He previously held the position of Senior Lecturer in the School of Information Systems and Technology. He obtained BA, MBA and DBA degrees from the University of Durban Westville,South Africa. Anesh has published a number of papers in South African and International Journals and Conferences. He is a member of the editorial panel of the South African Journal of Information Management and the South African Journal of Business Management. He serves as a reviewer for numerous conferences, journals and encyclopedias. Anesh has also served on numerous conference program committees. Anesh has had extensive management experience which includes being a Director of his own company, he has served as Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Commerce in 2004, and has served as Interim Head of Information Systems & Technology from 2003 to 2004. Prof Singh served as an Executive Member of the IT Standards Generating Body of South Africa, he served on the Education Portfolio of the Computer Society of South Africa – KwaZulu-Natal Chapter and also held the position of Vice President of Marketing of the Computer Society of South Africa 2005 to 2007. His field of research is E-Business and the Impact of the Internet on Society. Robert Davison Professor Robert Davison teaches information systems at the City University of Hong Kong. His current research focuses on Knowledge Management and Virtual Collaboration in the Chinese context. He often applies Action Research as a methodological lens, seeking both to understand and address organisational problem situations, while at the same time contributing to scholarly knowledge. Robert is the Editor of the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries, and an Associate Editor for the Information Systems Journal and Information Technology & People. Robert edited a special issue of the Information Systems Journal on Information Systems in China. Gregory Yawson Professor Gregory Yawson holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry/Chemical Metrology and an M.S. in Analytical Chemistry both from Harkov State University, Ukraine. Prof Yawson also hold a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Mathemetics from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Professor Gregory Yawason is a professor at the Lawrence Technological University, USA. He was a research professor at the Wayne State University and Madonna University, USA. Prof. Yawson taught at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is a co-author of three books and has many conference and journal publications. Kwasi Owusu-Adjei Jnr Mr. Kwasi Owusu-Adjei Jnr. is the Managing Director of the Export Finance Co. Ltd, Ghana. He holds a BA (HONS) degree in Sociology and Economics plus an MBA in Finance both from the University of Ghanaa. In addition, Mr. Owusu-Adjei holds an advanced certificate in Financial Management from the Business School of the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland . He has over twenty years experience in financial management. Mr. Owusu -Adjei has held the position of Managing Director of the company from 1994 to date. Prior to this position, he worked with a number of government and private institutions in Ghana, including the Ghana Export Promotion Council where he was Director of Finance and Administration. Mr. Owusu-Adjei has traveled extensively with various government delegations on trade and investment. He is currently a consultant for International Trade Centre (ITC)/UNDP, Geneva on trade finance.
