Matthew H. S. Kuofie

Prof Kuofie is  1) a world renowned distinguished university executive, 2) a global business executive, and 3) a politician —former United States Congressional candidate..


He holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from Oakland University, Michigan; an MBA in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, Illinois;  and an MS in Computer Science from Old Dominion University, Virginia. He also holds a BS in Statistics and Mathematics .


Dr. Kuofie is a former  United States Congressional candidate. He ran in the Michigan 9th Congressional District in the November 2, 2010 General Elections. 

Dr. Kuofie ran for the Beverly Hills, Michigan, United States, City (Village) Council during the November 4, 2008 United States General Election.

On December 3, 2010 Dr. Matthew Kuofie was presented with the Egypt Assiut University highest Award given by the University to an individual. The Award was given at the Third Annual International Business Conference held at the Hyatt Regency, Dearborn, Michigan, United States.  Dr. Kuofie was given the award for his outstanding accomplishments in United States and global politics, academia and business in addressing global issues. The Award was presented by Dr Mohamed Hossam Aboul-Nasr on behalf of the Vice Chancellor of the University.

On October 10, 2010 Dr..Kuofie was presented with an outstanding keynote speaker award at the International Research Conference in  Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico;  the Conference was attended by over 6,000 participants including the Mayor of Parral and the Representative of the governor  of Chihuahua.


On September 14, 2009, at the World Summit on Financial Economic and International Business held in Washington DC, USA, Madonna University of Michigan. USA, presented Dr. Kuofie with  Golden Globe Award –the highest award given by Madonna University to an individual.



On June 3, 2009, the City Council of Detroit, USA, honored Dr. Kuofie with THE SPIRIT OF DETROIT AWARD for his  exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and his dedication for improving quality of life.


On May 10, 2009 Dr. Kuofie was presented with Dubai Exemplary Award by the Ruler of Dubai who is also the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates at the First Annual International Conference on Global Business. Dr. Christian C. Wagner

Dr. Christian C. Wagner is the current chair of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan, USA; he has been with the University as a professor for over 20 years. Dr. Wagner has a BS and MS in Computer Science, and a PhD in Educational Psychology.  Dr. Wagner has consulted for a large set of industrial customers including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Eaton Automotive, GM/EDS, Pulte Homes, UTA Automotive among many others. He has published many papers in conference proceedings and journals. He has written three books. Dr. Wagner has graduated about 12 PhDs at Oakland University and has strong permanent working relationships with them all. Dr. Wagner was Prof. Matthew Kuofie’s doctoral committee chair.
  Dr. Robert Branch, former United States Congress candidate, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and the current Commissioner of Parks, Maricopa County, Arizona. He is also a professor, a businessman, and an author. He is associated with Liberty University, Grand Canyon University, and the University of Phoenix all in the US. At the University of Phoenix, Dr. Branch serves as the Content Chair for the DM/IST Doctoral Programs, and he is a member of the DM/IST Doctoral Faculty Council.   Dr. Branch has over 30 years experience in information technology, from chip designed, database development, to President and CEO. Dr. Branch holds a PhD Business – Organization and Management, an MS degree in Information Systems Engineering, and a BS degree in Computer Technology.  Dr. Branch and Dr. Matthew Kuofie serve on the same doctoral dissertation committees.
  Dr. Richard Dool is a senior executive, an educator and a consultant. He has had more than 30 years of diverse senior management experience including 18 years as a CEO of both public and private companies. His experience includes a range of management experiences such as leading a $1B division of a F500 company, rescuing a company from near bankruptcy, leading the acquisition or divestiture of 8 companies and managing companies in the UK, China, Germany, France, Spain, Hong Kong, India and Australia. Dr. Richard Dool is currently the CEO of Excelant Solutions, a management consultancy offering solutions for change management, leadership communications and strategic planning. Prior to this, he was the CEO of Vio, Inc, which develops software for the publishing industry, CEO of Liquent, Inc. which develops software for the pharmaceutical industry, CEO of LabVantage which delivers software solutions for laboratories and CEO of Ultimate Data Systems which offers management software solutions for the distribution market. Dr. Dool spent 15 years with AT&T in senior sales, marketing, product management and general management positions as well as 7 years with General Electric Healthcare in global leadership positions. Dr. Dool began his academic career in 2000 and has served in a variety of positions including Graduate Faculty, Doctoral Committee Chairs and Administrative Leadership positions. He is Director of Graduate Studies for the Communication Department at Seton Hall University and has also been on the faculty of the University of Maryland (UC) and several other Universities.

  Dr. Dana Stephens-Craig is the Chief Operating Officer at Salveo Integrative Health, Inc., which is a large integrative, psychiatric company near Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Stephens-Craig has excelled in the healthcare field for over eighteen years and held numerous leadership positions and has directed multi-million dollar programs. She also is managing operations of a multi-million dollar healthcare company to provide psychiatric services across the State of Georgia. Dr. Stephens-Craig and Salveo Integrative Health aspire to open multiple integrated crisis stabilization programs across the state of Georgia, the entire United States, and globally in order to revolutionize mental health care. Professor Dr. Matthew Kuofie was the committee chair of Dr. Stephens-Craig‘s Doctoral Dissertation Research Committee.

Dr. Perez Tejerais the Chief Information Officer at the Office of the Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Dr. Perez has implemented SAP and other information systems in Venezuela, Colombia, Perú, the Dominican Republic, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Curacao, Saint Martin, and Jamaica.  Dr. Perez Tejera has over 25 years of professional experience working with information systems.   Dr. Perez holds a doctorate degree in Management and Organizational Leadership from   University of Phoenix, USA; a  master’s degree in Finance from Universidad Metropolitana, in Caracas, Venezuela; and a Systems Engineering  in Caracas, Venezuela. He is a certified Professional Engineer in Computers, Project Management Professional, and Information Systems Security.   Corey Bird, a veteran of the United States Army, and currently an Investment Counselor in Scottsdale, AZ. Corey has been a registered advisor for over 10 years helping high net worth business owners grow their enterprise values and personal assets. Corey has done extensiveAfghanistan and work in the private equity space as an analyst and underwriter. He was responsible for creating over $100million of transaction value at his last position.. He recently was the head of Economic Development for the Civil Affairs Command has headed projects in several countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.    Dr. Cathy Jabara,Senior Economist, U.S. International Trade Commission.

Dr. Jabara is currently a Senior Economist with the U.S. International Trade Commission where she specializes in research related to international trade and global business.  Her recent research has focused on international trade and exchange rates, and U.S. trade with Sub-Saharan Africa.  Dr. Jabara received her Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, and her B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.  She has been previously employed with the government as an economist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Treasury Department.  She has also taught economics at the U.S. Naval Academy, and worked as a Adjunct Professor at Cornell University, where she focused on the impact of macroeconomic policies on low-income people in Africa.

  Dr Lawrence Loh was born in Singapore. He is Professor and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Al Ghurair University, Dubai. UAE.  He received a PhD in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.  Dr Loh has served in National University of Singapore where he had been Vice President, Director of Corporate Communications, Vice Dean of Business, and Director of Productivity and Quality Research Center, etc.  He was also founding Managing Director of the Center for Testing and Assessment.  Dr Loh was Secretary General of Association of Pacific Rim Universities and Chairman of S3 University Alliance.  He had served in various government committees in education, information communications, science and technology, and trade and industry.  He was consultant for Fortune Global 500 companies, think-tanks and international organizations.

   Dr Kathy Tannous, Research Fellow, Social Policy Research Centre, BA (Hons, Econ.), GradDip AppInv, GradDip FinPlan, M AppFinInv, PhD (Econ fin). Dr. Tannous has been working as an applied and public policy economist for past 19 years. She started her career as a macroeconomist conducting economic evaluation of major infrastructure projects and modelling impact of international trade policies in Canada. Dr. Tannous has undertaken economic impact studies on infrastructure projects in Australia and Canada; she undertook economic evaluation of education and labour market projects in South East Asia and the Pacific Islands. She has worked as an economist at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, as an asset consultant with IPAC Securities, and as a consultant in the Economics Division at Coopers and Lybrand. She has undertaken projects in the Asia Pacific region including Laos, China, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Western Samoa and Fiji. She had undertaken a national project on Australian residential aged care facilities to benchmark their occupational health and safety (OHS) programs against similar organisations in Australia and internationally. Currently she is a research fellow at the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

Dr. Prosper M. Bernard is an internationally respected lecturer and consultant withextensive experience in International Business Education especially in Latin America and in China. He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University Consortium of the Americas and member of  the Board of a few private and public organizations.. He is a Professor of Business at the University of Québec at Montreal. He served as Vice-rector and member of the Board of the same university. He is a Canadian and an American citizen.

  Dr. Nermin Ozgulbas, M.Sc., Ph.D. is the Vice Rector at Baskent University in Turkey. She taught financial management, financial analysis and cost accounting in Baskent University, distance education program of Anadolu University and Turkish Ministry of Health. Her research and publication activities include finance, cost accounting, risk management, early warning systems, and data mining in especially SMEs, capital markets, health care organizations, and social security. She has been participating in a lot of international and national projects and conferences as an organizer, reviewer and advisor. Her latest researches are about early warning systems for financial crisis. Dr. Helal Alaskar is the Dean of Riyadh College of Technology in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He is associate professor in practical art and vocational technical education with concentration in business education. His Ph.D. in Information System is from the University of Québec in Montréal in 1987; as is his M.Sc. in Project Management in 1980, his B.Sc. in Computer Sciences from University of Montréal in 1971, and his B.A. from Sainte-Marie Collège in 1968. He has held positions with governments and enterprises as system programmer, analyst and CIO from 1971 to 1987, before he joined the faculty of University of Québec in Montréal. He still works as consultant for many small business and non-profit organizations. His doctorial thesis (1987) was on the use of e-mail as a management tool. Dr. Plaisent’s research focus is on the concept of cognitive ergonomics, learning problems and personal productivity tools for managers. He has published several books and articles

Dr. Christina Koutra

Dr. Christina Koutra is an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) postdoctoral research fellow awardee at the School of Tourism Policy Studies, University of Brighton, Eastbourne, East Sussex, UK. Her research addresses the issue of Corporate Social Responsibility and its application in governmental and intergovernmental institutions; capacity building; community participation; and participatory approaches in developing countries. She is currently researching in Ghana, and Kenya. She holds a PhD in Tourism Policy Studies from University of Brighton’, UK, , an  MSc (Hon) in Tourism Management and  a BSc (Hons) in Russian and European both from University of Surrey’, UK


 Dr. Aysar Philip Sussan  Dr. Aysar Philip Sussan holds a DBA in International Business from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, USA, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, N.Y and a BS in Engineering Technology from Gannon University PA, USA. Dr. Sussan is currently the  Department Head of the International Business at Bethune – Cookman University. Florida, USA.

He teaches/ has taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Stetson University in Florida and at New York Institute of Technology in the area of International Business, Strategic Management, and Quantitative Methods. He provided management training seminars for AT&T, Bell South, American Express, Westinghouse Nuclear Facilities, Dow Chemical, Halifax Trade Council, and many others. He taught management concepts in a variety of nations such as, The Middle – East, France, Poland, Canada, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean Islands. Dr. Sussan held a variety of administrative positions such as, Dean of Academic Affairs and Director of the MBA program. His research activities and publications are in the area of Global Strategic Management and Technology which involved over fifty publications in an academic research journals.





  Yin-Che Weng is a PhD student in the Department of Finance at National Chengchi University, Taiwan. His current research interests are fund manager and financial analysts’ behavior. He received his BS degree in Economics in 2003 at Tunghai University, Taiwan; and his MS degree in Finance in 2005 at National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. Before pursuing his doctoral degree, he served in the army from 2005 to 2007 as lieutenant.
Dr. Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad  

Dr. Nik Maheran Nik Muhammad is currently a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Mara, Kelantan, Malaysia. Prior to joining UiTM in March 2003, she had 9 years experience with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia(IRB) and 2 years experience as an Investment analyst at KLSE.

She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration (Finance) from University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, USA; Masters in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia; and Doctor of Business Administration from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Professionally, she is an MIT (Malaysian Institute of Taxation), IBBM (Banks Institute of Malaysia) and CFP (Certified Financial Planner) trade member.

Throughout her career with UiTM, she has taught courses in Taxation, Corporate Finance, Investment, Option and Futures, Financial Analysis, Personal Finance, Management courses, Banking legal and ethics, International Business and etc. at Diploma, Undergraduate and Masters levels. Her research interests are in the area of Finance, Decision- making and Strategic Management.

Nik Maheran also does consultancy and training work. She has conduct training and consultation in the area of financial planning, investment planning and tax planning and Internal Control system and Human resource management for several companies. Furthermore, as an Image Consultant, she has conducted more than 50 seminars and workshops on image building and enhancement and customer service for corporations, government bodies, hospitals and women organizations.



Dr. Suresh Subramoniam

Dr. Suresh Subramoniam lectures at the College of Business Administration, Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  He holds a Ph.D. in Management Studies from University of Kerala, rivandrum, India; an M.S. in Industrial Engineering  from Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge, LA, USA;  and a B.Tech in Mechanical  Engineering from University of Kerala, Trivandrum, India. His areas of interest include operations management, management information systems, enterprise resource planning, e-business, finance management, business process re-engineering, and information technology. He has numerous publications. He was a research engineer at Indian Space Research Organization, Government of India from 1990 -1999.

Dr. K. P Saraswathy

Dr K P Saraswathy Amma is a professor in Business Management department , European University of Lefke, TRNC, Cyprus. She has 31 years of experience in teaching at graduate and masters level.  She worked as Principal in N S S College Ottapalam, Kerala, India. Under her leadership as Principal, the college got accredited by National Board of Accreditation, University Grants Commission, İndia, based on the overall performance. As Professor and Dean of Management Studies at Federal Institute of Science and Technology, Kerala, India, she was respınsible for co-ordinating MBA programme and many conferences.She was awarded a research project by  University Grants Commission, India, in the year 2005 for conducting research in Microfinance.She has co-authored a book on “International Hand book of Women and Small Business Entrepreneurship

Dr. K S M Panicker

 Dr. K S M Panicker has over 35 years of experience in academic administration and research, of which 15 years as Principal in 3 engineering colleges in India.  Dr. Panicker received Ph D degree from Indian Institute of Technology(I I T), NewDelhi, India. He has published many papers in international / national journals and conferences. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers(India) and a member of IEEE (USA). He served as chairman of Institution of  Engineers (India) and Indian Society for Technical Education, Palakkad chapter. He teaches engineering and management.

Dr. Eric Dorian

Dr. Eric Dorion is currently a professor titular at the University of Caxias do Sul in Brazil. He is the director of the Post-Graduate Program in Administration. Professor Dorion has established a research network with Chinese, Indian and European colleagues. He does research in Market Strategies.
He also lectures in Canadian, French and some Brazilian universities and companies.

Professor Dr Faridah Hj Hassan, is the Dean at the faculty of Business Management, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia.  Currently, she is an external examiner for several public and private local universities and colleges, an active Fellow Member of professional Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), and a Board Council and Regional Member for Malaysian CIM.  Her appointments were among others an ex Dean, an independent Board of Director as well as a former Panel Investment Advisor for a public listed trust fund company.Her 27 years of teaching, supervising, examining, panel advising involves undergraduate, post graduate and professional courses offered by UiTM twinning with Cardiff, Manchester Business School, Curtin and local universitites such as Universiti Malaya, UPM, UIA, UUM, Universiti Petronas, Multimedia, Uniten, Limkokwing to name a few.  Her research interests are in the areas of Marketing and Strategic Management for the corporate and small medium companies, financial institutions and trust fund, public and private education, and tourism and government agencies.

Samuel Andoh

Dr. Samuel Andoh is a professor and Chairperson of the Economics and Finance Department at Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He graduated with second class upper from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He earned MA and PhD degrees in economics from Virginia State and New York University, USA, respectively. Dr. Andoh and his colleague were awarded a three year grant of US$292K to help Khazar University restructure its School of Economics and Management. Warren H. Groff
Prof. Dr. Warren Groff he is the Director of Knowledge Management at Global Strategic Management Inc.  Prof Groff has 20 years of administrative experience in five quite different higher education contexts including assistant dean in the College of Education at Temple University, USA and chief academic officer in a private USA college. Warren helped create an International Business Program and chaired a High Tech Task Force for the Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents. He and helped create an Entrepreneurial Development Institute. He has been a consultant for diverse organizations for 20 years. He conducted strategic planning workshops for statewide systems and for many institutions including the University of Texas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, USA. Prof Groff became an adjunct for a few doctoral programs at Nova Southeastern University, USA. He evaluated 1,000+ practicums in Computing & Information Technology and Human Resources Development. Prof Groff chaired 88 completed dissertations, 32 of which were evaluated as Outstanding. He keynoted in Taiwan in 1991 and 1993, on computer based distance education in 1994, and on strategic planning for Electronic Commerce in 1999. He keynoted a Korean Association for Information Education conference in South Korea and then spoke at Inchon National University of Education (INUE) in 1997. I spoke again at INUE in 1999. I spoke in Jamaica in 1997. Prof Groff is Knowledge Management expert. 


Abel Usoro

Dr Abel Usoro obtained his PhD in Information Technology from South Bank University, London, and an MSc in Systems Analysis and Design from UK,City University, London, UK. He earned MBA Strategic Management from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He also earned his BSc (Hons) in Management Studies (Banking and Finance) from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. He currently lectures in the School of Computing, University of Paisley in Scotland, UK. His current research interests are information systems, knowledge management and e-learning. Dr. Usoro has numerous publications:in books, international conferences and refereed. Dr Usoro is an international chair of a number of conferences, a full member of the prestigious Information Institute and British Computing Society. He is also a member of the Academic Working Group for Manufacturing Performance in Scotland. His conference presentations have taken him across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. For research and lecturing, he visits Laurea University in Finland and Anshan Normal University in China.


Anesh Maniraj Singh

Prof Anesh Maniraj Singh is the Head of the Graduate School of Business, University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, since April 2006. He previously held the position of Senior Lecturer in the School of Information Systems and Technology. He obtained BA, MBA and DBA degrees from the University of Durban Westville,South Africa. Anesh has published a number of papers in South African and International Journals and Conferences. He is a member of the editorial panel of the South African Journal of Information Management and the South African Journal of Business Management. He serves as a reviewer for numerous conferences, journals and encyclopedias. Anesh has also served on numerous conference program committees. Anesh has had extensive management experience which includes being a Director of his own company, he has served as Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Commerce in 2004, and has served as Interim Head of Information Systems & Technology from 2003 to 2004. Prof Singh served as an Executive Member of the IT Standards Generating Body of South Africa, he served on the Education Portfolio of the Computer Society of South Africa – KwaZulu-Natal Chapter and also held the position of Vice President of Marketing of the Computer Society of South Africa 2005 to 2007. His field of research is E-Business and the Impact of the Internet on Society.

Robert Davison

Professor Robert Davison teaches information systems at the City University of Hong Kong. His current research focuses on Knowledge Management and Virtual Collaboration in the Chinese context. He often applies Action Research as a methodological lens, seeking both to understand and address organisational problem situations, while at the same time contributing to scholarly knowledge. Robert is the Editor of the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries, and an Associate Editor for the Information Systems Journal and Information Technology & People. Robert edited a special issue of the Information Systems Journal on Information Systems in China.
